Taken at the "cutting of the cake" at the close of a Confirmation. The sheer vibrancy and feeling on their faces makes it for me, especially the boy at the focal point.
Also, the adults in the background. An interesting contrast?


Tightly cropped in Photoshop to remove the bits that detracted.

now this i like. it's not telling me what to think, it seems to be painting a very balanced picture of the whole thing.
the feeling of motion is really good, and the black-and-whiteness adds a very strong tone of seriousness which probably provides a lot of the tension that balances this out.

They look like they are all trying to grab something, this is the moment before all the fights break out. THe adults in the background not paying attention make a nice contrast to the energy the children represent.

I like the b/w a lot and that intense movement in the image..
Its kids...kids are moving [all the f***g time] ...energy

Kids are so bouncy...I don't know how they do it. I like staying in bed all day. Motion blur is your friend, sometimes.
